2013 Property Assessment Notices

The 2013 assessment notices were mailed by Property Valuation Services Corporation (PVSC) to Nova Scotia property owners on January 14th, 2013.  Property owners should pay particular attention to their assessment notices and property valuations and also be aware of the appeal process including time lines, should they not be in agreement with their assessed values.
  • If you wish to appeal your assessment, this year the appeal period has been extended to 31 days.  
  • Property owners who wish to appeal their assessment have until midnight, February 14th, 2013 to file an appeal. 
  • Property owners should be aware they have the right to access their full file and the codes on their files prior to submitting an appeal.

Property Valuation Services Corporation (PVSC) has launched a new website which provides property owners with easier access to assessment information.  Property owners are able to use their Assessment Account Number (AAN) and PIN access number featured on their assessment notice to view detaied information on their individual property by accessing their "My Property Report".  Property Valuation Services Corporation (PVSC) call centre representatives are available to answer questions at 1-800-380-7775.
