Yarmouth County Seniors join Loren Fevens from the Sentimental Journey CJLS Radio Program, the second Thursday of each month, for a fun dance and social. This is an opportunity for seniors to dance the night away to your favorite real time oldies, socialize with friends and get some physical activity. Loren will play your favorites and requests. Dance floor is open and any type of dance is acceptable. This is an alcohol free event. This promises (you have our guarantee!) to be an enjoyable night out as we will provide music, sandwiches, desserts, tea and coffee.

34th Annual Yarmouth County Athletic Awards Banquet will be held on November 12th, 2010
We need your help!
1) Please tell us about teams and individuals from Yarmouth County that have won at provincials (or higher) this year.
To be eligible for an award, the nominee must be a Yarmouth county athlete, volunteer, official,
coach, or part of a team that has attained a provincial title in a sport or has distinguished themselves
in a sport at the University, College, Atlantic or National level.
2) Make sure to nominate outstanding individuals and teams in your sport!
Nominations will be taken for the Special Awards: Athlete of the Year, Youth Athlete of the Year, Sport Volunteer of the
Year, Coach of the Year, Fair Play Award and Official of the Year.

6th Annual Jack-O-Lantern Parade
Gather at 6:30pm, Oct. 25 (TBD), at the Visitor Information
Centre on Main Street for the 6th Annual Jack-O-Lantern
Parade. This is a walking parade! Dress up, bring your flashlights and jack-o-lanterns
(wagons permitted) for an evening of ghostly fun! Parents
MUST accompany children and everyone should dress for

Meeting every Saturday Morning, 9am at Runners Attic, this program brings in people of all shapes, sizes, and abilities! Experienced runners and beginners alike motivate each other to improve their skills, increase their distance or just get started. No Charge!

Rotary Centre in Hebron & Lake Milo Boat Club
Facilities to Rent
Looking for a place to hold your get-together, sports group or other special event? Let us help you! Our Rotary Centre is a multi-functional centre, ideal for community
meetings, banquets, small concerts, auctions or receptions. It has a fully equipped kitchen and washroom facilities as well as an abundance of parking and a beautiful deck. Together with the surrounding Forchu River Trail, three ball fields, new playground (to be installed in Spring 2009), tennis courts, and soccer field, it’s an ideal place for sporting and other special events.
The Milo Boat Club is a great location to hold year round events. The reception hall, located on the second floor is ideal for banquets, clinics, meetings, or leisure activities such as yoga, martial arts, or educational workshops.

Fall Photography Hike
Sunday, October 17th, from 2 to 4 pm
at Ellenwood Lake Provincial Park
Explore the beauty of nature with your camera. Sue Hutchins will share tips and techniques on capturing the fall colours
in leaves and landscapes while enjoying the fall air and trails of Ellenwood Provincial Park. This is a great event for
adults. We will meet at the gated entrance to the park.

Walking, Hiking & Biking Trails
Grab your friend, spouse, children or dog and take a hike on one of Yarmouth’s beautiful trails. Choose from the abandoned railway in town, the Hartlen trail on Water Street, the Lake Milo Stretch, the Forchu River Trail in Hebron, the Chebogue Meadows Trail in Brooklyn or the Utkubok Trail at Arcadia School. Watch as summer turns to fall on these scenic trails!
