PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
Yarmouth Regional Hospital Limiting Entrances to Hospital
At Yarmouth Regional Hospital, this means patients and approved visitors must now enter the hospital by the front/main-North entrances only:
- North Main Entrance – Building A (by Admitting/Registration). These doors are locked from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. Patients must buzz to enter after 8 p.m.
- Rehab / Day Surgery Entrance – Building C. These doors are open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and locked evenings and weekends. Patients with appointments in Building C, doctors offices, cancer centre, etc., may use this entrance.
Patients and approved visitors should park in the front parking lot, closest to the School of Nursing.
The rear-south entrance doors (closest to Yarmouth Harbour) are locked, and only accessible to staff and physicians with Photo ID cards.
All exterior doors at Yarmouth Regional Hospital may be used as an exit in an emergency, and as an evacuation route in a fire situation.
These measures are being put in place to protect our patients, staff and physicians from the spread of COVID-19.
