Policies

Municipal Council uses policies to provide structure around determining goals/objectives for certain activities.  These policies guide the CAO and staff to implement policy in the attainment of those goals/objectives.

Policies are recommended to Council by the Policy/By-law Review Committee.  At least seven days prior to the policy being reviewed by Council at a Regular Council Meeting, a Notice of Intent to Consider is forwarded to Councillors.  The policy is reviewed at the council meeting, a motion for approval is received and the policy receives appropriate signatures and is placed on the municipal website.
